Add a Signup Tool to WordPress

WordPress does not use one menu for this. Paste the snippet SendFable generates into a Custom HTML block, or into the theme’s code area if you want a popup on more than one page.

What you'll need

  • A Signup Tool in SendFable.
  • Access to edit a page, or to the theme area that accepts HTML.
  • The code from Signup Tools. Do not retype it.

Inline installation

In Signup Tools, choose Inline, then Copy code. Paste that snippet. The example below uses your-form as a placeholder. Your copied code already has the real slug.

  1. In SendFable, open Signup Tools.
  2. Choose Inline.
  3. Copy the generated code.
  4. In WordPress, edit the page and add a Custom HTML block. In the block editor that block is named Custom HTML. A classic editor uses the Text or Custom HTML view, not Visual.
  5. Paste the snippet.
  6. Update or Publish.
  7. Open the live page and send a test signup.
<div data-sendfable-form="your-form"></div>
<script src="https://sendfable.com/embed/form.js" async></script>

Popup installation

In Signup Tools, choose Popup, set when it appears and how often, then Copy code. Add that snippet once on the pages where the popup should run. The script is the same file as Inline.

There is no SendFable WordPress plugin. If the theme has no place for site-wide HTML, put the popup snippet in a Custom HTML block on each page where it should run.

  1. In Signup Tools, choose Popup and set the delay or scroll point, and how often it may return.
  2. Copy the generated code.
  3. Add it once where it should load. On a block theme, a Custom HTML block in the footer template is enough. Some themes and code plugins label this Footer, Header, or Site-wide. The name depends on the theme.
  4. Do not paste it on every page if the footer already includes it.
  5. Update or Publish, then test in a private window.
<div data-sendfable-form="your-form" data-display="popup" data-trigger="delay" data-delay="10" data-frequency="7d"></div>
<script src="https://sendfable.com/embed/form.js" async></script>

How to test

  1. Publish or update the site. An unpublished draft will not show the live snippet.
  2. Open the public page in a private window.
  3. Submit a test email. It should appear in that Signup Tool's audience.
  4. If the tool asks for a phone, the SMS checkbox stays separate and starts unchecked.
  5. Free plans show Powered by SendFable under the tool. Paid plans that remove branding do not.

Common troubleshooting

  • The code shows up as text on the page. Paste it into an HTML or embed block, not a normal paragraph.
  • Nothing changed. Publish the site, then refresh. A cached page can still show the old version.
  • The popup appeared once and stopped. That is the frequency setting. Use a private window, or wait until the next window.
  • A browser extension or content blocker is stopping scripts. Try another browser with extensions off.
  • The form says it is unavailable. Copy code again from the right Signup Tool so the slug matches.
