Question 1

What is SendFable?

Accepted Answer

SendFable is simple email and text marketing for small businesses: contacts, campaigns, templates, forms, Marketing Autopilot, and managed delivery — without a giant CRM suite.

Question 2

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Free includes up to 500 contacts and 1,000 emails per month, with a “Sent with SendFable” footer. No credit card required to start.

Question 3

Can I send email and text?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After Text Messaging is set up, one campaign can send Email, Text, or Both. Text has its own consent, STOP/HELP, and pricing. Email-only accounts stay email-only.

Question 4

Do I need a credit card?

Accepted Answer

No. You can create an account and use the Free plan without a card. A card is only needed when you upgrade or purchase Text Messaging.

Question 5

What is Marketing Autopilot?

Accepted Answer

Marketing Autopilot watches a page on your website (specials, events, offers). When something meaningful changes, SendFable drafts a campaign. Nothing sends until you approve.

Question 6

Does Autopilot send automatically?

Accepted Answer

No. Approve & Send, Edit, or Don’t Send. If you don’t respond, nothing is sent. At most one reminder is sent while a draft is waiting.

Question 7

Can I import contacts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Import a CSV with field mapping, or use migration guides for common exports. Only import people you have permission to email. Purchased lists are not allowed.

Question 8

Can I collect contacts with forms?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hosted signup forms can grow a consented list, with optional double opt-in. Forms can collect email and, when Text is enabled, phone with proper consent.

Question 9

Can I use my own sending domain?

Accepted Answer

Custom domain authentication is available on Growth and above. You can always verify a From address to start — Gmail and Outlook work with From-rewrite when needed.

Question 10

What happens when I reach a plan limit?

Accepted Answer

Your contacts and past campaigns stay put. You’ll see a clear upgrade prompt when you hit contact or monthly email limits. Autopilot stops creating new drafts when you hit that month’s draft allowance until you upgrade or the month resets.

Question 11

What does SMS activation cost?

Accepted Answer

Text Messaging is a separate add-on with an activation/setup fee plus plan pricing for included segments. See /pricing for current Text Messaging details and any promo such as TEXT20.

Question 12

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Paid subscriptions can be canceled from billing / the customer portal. You keep access through the paid period; Free-plan limits apply afterward.

Question 13

How many Autopilot drafts do I get?

Accepted Answer

Free: weekly checks, up to 2 drafts/month. Starter: daily checks, up to 20 drafts/month. Growth and above: twice-daily checks available, up to 60 drafts/month.
